When Paramount released the film Breakfast at Tiffany’s in 1961, Capote stated the film was “more of a creation of its own than an adaptation.” Though the novella was set in 1940’s wartime, the content was too ahead of its time for 1960’s Hollywood.

To showoff my screenwriting skills and pay homage to Truman Capote, I modernized the novella and made the script faithful to the original story.

The blog post “America is Ready for the Real Breakfast at Tiffany’s” explains the ways in which the novella is superior to the film and why it’s finally time for a remake of the classic film.
